From time to time the Committee is asked to organise or support collections for charities and other good causes - sometimes in general terms and sometimes because a member has a personal reason for the request. 

The Committee would therefore like to establish a rolling charity collection and make a donation each month, in the name of the club and its members, to a charity or cause which you, the members, have chosen.

If there is a particular charity, perhaps because of a personal connection, that you would like to nominate for support, please leave a note with your name (which will be kept confidential if you wish) and reasons behind the bar for the Secretary or email the Secretary as coulsdoncomrades@aol.com.

Donations do not necessarily have to be cash of course; you could give back a raffle prize that you win, or a winning lottery card?

The nominated cause for December is "Jake’s Trike" (see separate poster), to assist a member's grandson who has mobility difficulties due to Cerebral Palsy.

After that, the Committee will select a charity from your nominations so we look forward to receiving your suggestions for 2010.
